NDIS Survivor Obscenely Therapeutic Coffee Mug
NDIS Survivor Obscenely Therapeutic Coffee Mug
Developed to help relieve my own frustration, anxiety, traumas, disappointments, anger and disgust at the actions of many people representing the NDIS towards the people they are supposed to be supporting.
The idea of the NDIS is great. The reality has harmed myself and my family to such an extent that I tattood this 'brand' on my arm.
If you can't guess what it says, it's the Viking or Rune for F#$K the NDIS!
This brand that I created has already provided therapeutic connection to those i have shared it to. If you have felt any or all of the following you need one of these mugs.
Frustrated, angry, upset, disappointed, unheard, unimportant, invisible, scared, traumatised, minimised, devalued, insulted, abused, overlooked, ignored... oh dear the list goes on..
Its a small but powerful symbol of whatever you want it to be.
For me its taking back choice, control and autonomy through words. I'm still free to choose my words, and I still have hope that the system set up to improve lives will one day get it right. Today, we are a long way from that place and things will change if enough voices are heard.
Many of us are isolated which adds to the power imbalance. Connecting and sharing our knowledge, experiences, wins and losses so we can all stand up for ourselves knowing we are not alone makes all the difference.
Everytime we speak up for ourselves or our loved one we are also speaking up for each other.
And 'They' shouldn't mind as they keep banging on about choice and control and transparency blah blah blah.
It's a reasonable and necessary, good value for money choice compared to traditional therapeutic intervention so it should get the big tick of approval from the powers that dictate the lives of disadvantaged Australians.
Get one for you or your loved one.
I've got 2.
Hell tattoo it on yourself. Best therapy I've had.
There's only a small quantity in stock and I'll keep supplying if people keep wanting them. Sales will reflect the number of people 'touched' by the NDIS.
Let's see how big our community actually is.
